Huhtamaki Henderson Ltd has a history dating back to 1939 when it started as Carton Specialties. Having been at the present manufacturing site since 1962, Huhtamaki is a well-known employer in the West Auckland area, presently employing approximately 300 people. The factory has had, and continues to have, numerous hygiene upgrades, installing air showers at the factory entrance and installing a cleanroom environment.
This site is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all employees, visitors and contractors. The site has an excellent record in safety and due to our safety record is part of the Zero Accident Club, a Huhtamaki Global initiative.
This certification indicates Huhtamaki Henderson's commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction and to best practice decisions in every facet of the business.
The Environment Management Standard. Huhtamaki Henderson manufactures products with the aim of minimising natural resource depletion, optimising process efficiency and reducing solid waste generation. Employees are also educated and trained to develop a keen sense of environmental responsibility and accountability.
This stand is specifically for food packaging and is obtained through certification ISO22000: 2005 Food Safety Management Systems and PAS223: 2011 Prerequiste Programmes and Design REquirements on Food Safety in the Manufacture and Provision of Food Packaging. It replaces the old HACCP Certification and is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
