Huhtamaki supports Earth Hour
Huhtamäki Oyj is participating in the world's largest event against global warming on Saturday March 28, 2009 by switching off the lights in its headquarters in Espoo, Finland between 20:30 - 21:30 pm. The Earth Hour(TM) is organized by WWF.Earth Hour aims to impact official government policies to take action against global warming. In support of the initiative private individuals as well as companies and public organizations around the world will turn off lights for an hour on the same day at the same time.
Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, and in the following year the message had grown into a global sustainability movement. In February 2009 there were over 75 countries including all the Nordic countries supporting the movement.
