Huhtamäki Oyj's donations to support activities of Finnish universities
HUHTAMÄKI OYJ STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 22.4.2010 AT 9:00
Huhtamäki Oyj's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held on March 24, 2010 resolved upon authorizing the Board of Directors in connection with the Company's 90 years anniversary to grant donations of no more than EUR 500,000 to support activities of Finnish universities. The donations will be payable during year 2010 on dates determined by the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors has resolved upon granting the aggregate amount of EUR 500,000 to support activities of Finnish universities by donating EUR 200,000 to Aalto University, EUR 150,000 to Hanken School of Economics and EUR 150,000 to University of Turku.
Huhtamäki Oyj will also continue supporting the packaging technology related research and professorship of Lappeenranta University of Technology. The cooperation with Lappeenranta University of Technology commenced in year 2007. The total amount to be donated by year 2011 to such purpose is EUR 100,000.
