Last week, Huhtamaki's President & CEO Ralf K. Wunderlich hosted a dinner bringing together his four predecessors, Timo Peltola, Heikki Takanen, Jukka Moisio and Charles Héaulmé, for the first gathering of its kind.
Together, the leaders represent nearly four decades of Huhtamaki's history, accounting for more than a third of the company's 106 years. The evening provided an opportunity to reflect on the company's journey, share perspectives across generations of leadership, and celebrate the achievements that have shaped Huhtamaki into the company it is today.
During those years, Huhtamaki evolved from a diversified group of businesses into a focused global packaging leader, expanding its reach and strengthening its position in markets around the world.
"It was a privilege to bring together those who have played such an important role in shaping Huhtamaki," said Ralf. "The company's success today is built on decades of vision, dedication and hard work by our predecessors and generations of employees."
The discussions highlighted how the company has evolved through different phases of growth and transformation, while remaining guided by the values that continue to define Huhtamaki today: serving customers, developing people and building for the long term.
The gathering also served as a reminder that today's Huhtamaki is built on foundations laid by generations of leaders and employees, and that the company's future continues to be shaped by the same spirit of commitment and ambition.
