Huhtamaki expects first quarter 2009 Group EBIT to be well above the previous year in spite of lower sales
The start of the year in Huhtamaki's markets has been characterized by uncertainty which has dampened sales. Due to good cost containment and better operational control it is expected, however, that the Group EBIT during January 1 - March 31, 2009 will be well above the EUR 20 million in the corresponding period in 2008.Full year sales outlook remains uncertain and pressure on margins is expected to increase during the course of the year.
The Interim Report for January 1 - March 31, 2009 will be published on April 23, 2009.
