Listing of the Huhtamäki Oyj option rights 2006 B and subscription dates in 2009

Huhtamäki Oyj applies for listing of the option rights 2006 B under the 2006 option rights plan, adopted by the General Meeting of Shareholders held on March 27, 2006 on NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Ltd. so that the listing will commence on October 1, 2009.

The total number of option rights 2006 B is 1,100,000 and each option right 2006 B entitles its holder to subscribe for one (1) share of Huhtamäki Oyj. In the aggregate the option rights 2006 B entitle holders to subscribe for 1,100,000 shares and the corresponding maximum increase in the share capital is EUR 3,740,000. The period of subscription for shares based on the option rights 2006 B shall begin on October 1, 2009 and shall cease on October 31, 2012. The period of subscription for shares shall be annually between January 2 and November 15 on specific subscription dates designated by the Board of Directors of the company. At the beginning of the subscription period on October 1, 2009 the share subscription price based on the option rights 2006 B is EUR 13.20 per share.

The subscription dates for shares under the option rights 2006 B in 2009 will be the following:

- Wednesday October 21, 2009
- Wednesday November 11, 2009.
