Fiber is our main material measured in volume. Our ambition is to source 100% of our fiber from recycled or certified sustainable sources. In 2017, 98% of the fiber we used in our manufacturing was either recycled or sustainably sourced.

A two-decade relationship and still going strong
Aino Hästö's journey at Huhtamaki has taken her far beyond Sweden, Norway, and the company’s headquarters in her native Finland. For the last 3.5 years, she has worked in Sydney as a Commercial Director, Australia and Southeast Asia.
Trialling a new fiber based ready meal packaging
A trial version of a renewable fiber based ready meal packaging was tested with consumers in the UK starting end May. Huhtamaki is part of a three-party consortium developing an alternative to existing plastic ready meal trays.
